A Family's Vision
“When Chris discovered computers and technology, it was like a light switched on — he truly thrived,” said Bill Perry, Chris’s father and co-founder of the foundation. “Our goal with this foundation is to give other students that same opportunity to find their spark. These events bring our community together and help us put technology into the hands of young people who might just change the world with it.”
Foundation Impact
Since its founding in May 2025, the Christopher Perry Technology & Innovation Foundation has already made a meaningful impact. The foundation’s first project was the establishment of the Chris Perry ’10 Creative Technology Laboratory at Fryeburg Academy, a collaborative space where students work with various technologies and find inspiration — much as Chris did during his time at the Academy. The lab opened at the start of the 2025–2026 school year and has become a vibrant hub for students, often filled on afternoons as both a workspace and an after-school technology program.
Most recently, the foundation contributed $2,500 to support the Fryeburg Academy Robotics Team, helping to defray travel costs for Team Caesar’s trip to the VEX Robotics World Championships in St. Louis, Missouri, after the team earned their qualification at the Maine State Robotics Championship.
